How long does it take before Bavian starts making changes?
Updated 20 October 2026
Bavian changes nothing in your Google Ads account until you click Turn on Autopilot. Before that, it only reads your account to write its analysis and start plan.
Right after you turn it on
Bavian carries out its start plan straight away, usually within a few minutes. It takes over your campaigns and sets their budgets, pauses or switches on the campaigns the plan says, and builds any new campaigns in the plan. Meanwhile, Insights shows Autopilot starting, then Autopilot active, and you can leave the page.
If you paid while the analysis was still running, the start waits until the analysis and the plan are done.
The first daily run
Bavian's first daily run usually starts within 20 minutes of the start. From then on, Bavian goes through your account once a day, and keeps your campaign budgets within your total daily budget in between.
A daily run doesn't always change something. If nothing needs changing, Bavian leaves the account as it is. The Agent page in Bavian shows when it last went through your account, under Last daily check.
What waits for your yes
Most things you ask for in the chat on the Agent page go ahead straight away. A few changes Bavian starts itself wait for your approval on the Agent page, even in Autopilot mode, such as a new total daily budget or removing a campaign. In Approval mode, every change Bavian's agent starts itself waits for you. See What is the difference between Approval Mode and Autopilot?
