What should I do if I cannot log in to Bavian?

There's no password in Bavian. You sign in either with the Google button, or by entering your email address and clicking Email me a code.
Most sign-in problems come down to the email address, so check that first.
Use the right email address
Your Bavian account belongs to one email address, and signing in with another address won't reach it.
If you see No account exists for this email address, Bavian doesn't know the address you typed. Try the one you signed up with, or the one you changed it to later.
If you signed in with Google and see Which website are your ads for? instead of your account, Google used a different email address than your account's, and Bavian made a new, empty account for it. Click Log out at the bottom of the page and sign in with the right address. If Google's button keeps offering the wrong Google account, type your address instead and click Email me a code.
The code doesn't arrive
The email has the subject Your Bavian login code.
- Look in your spam or junk folder.
- To get a new code, click Use a different email and then Email me a code again.
The code doesn't work
A code works for 10 minutes. If you see Invalid or expired code, check that you typed it correctly, or ask for a new one.
You can also click Log in to Bavian in the email instead of typing the code. It works once, while the code is still valid, and signs you in in the browser where you open it.
If you see Too many requests, wait the few minutes it says and try again.
You were invited by a colleague
An invitation is for one email address. Open the link in the invitation, sign in with that address and click Accept invitation. If you're new to Bavian, click Create account first, or use the Google button with that address. If you don't see Accept invitation after signing in, open the link again.
Invitations expire after 7 days. If yours has, ask whoever invited you to send a new one, and use the link in the newest email.
