Can I keep my current Google Ads spend when I start Autopilot?

Your total daily budget starts at what the daily budgets of your running campaigns add up to today. You see it in the Start Autopilot box on Insights, and you can keep it or change it with adjust budget.

But the total is a cap, not what you'll spend. Many campaigns spend less than their daily budget, and Bavian puts the whole total to work, so your spend can go up even if you keep the total. To keep today's spend, set the total to what you actually spend a day, which the adjust budget dialog shows.

The split can change

Even at the same total, the start plan can move money between your campaigns. It can raise or cut a budget, pause a campaign, restart a paused one or fund a new Shopping campaign. Under How your campaigns will start, compare Spent per day with Daily budget at start for each campaign that will run.

Good to know

• On a single day, Google can spend up to twice a campaign's daily budget, but it evens out over the month.
