Can I make changes directly in Google Ads while Bavian manages the account?
Updated 18 October 2026
Yes. You, your colleagues or your agency can keep working in Google Ads. Bavian reads the account's change history every day, sees who changed what, and treats most changes a person made by hand as your decision.
By hand means in Google Ads on the web or in the app, in Google Ads Editor, with a bulk upload, or by applying a recommendation yourself.
What Bavian keeps
- Campaigns you switch on or pause. Switching one on usually raises your total daily budget by its budget. Pausing one doesn't lower the total: the money goes to your other campaigns in Bavian's next daily run.
- Budgets you change. The campaign is marked Set by you on the Budget page, and your total usually moves by the difference.
- Your bidding, locations and languages.
- Keywords and negative keywords you add or remove, ads you write, edit or pause, and ad groups you pause.
Bavian only reverses one of these if something new comes up that costs you money or breaks a rule. New campaigns you create and switch on in Google Ads are taken over within a day.
What Bavian may change anyway
- Keyword and ad group bids, keywords you pause, and other settings not listed above, such as bid adjustments, networks and which conversions count. Bavian may change these as it manages the account.
- The negative keyword list with Bavian's name on it. Bavian puts back what it added there, so add your own negative keywords somewhere else.
Scripts, rules and other tools
Changes from scripts, automated rules and other apps don't count as your decisions. Bavian notes them but may undo them. For example, if a script switches on a campaign you paused yourself, Bavian pauses it again. The same goes for Google's auto-applied recommendations, which Bavian switches off where it can.
Good to know
You can hand budgets and bidding back to Bavian: Let Bavian decide it again on the Budget page, and Bavian decides on the Bidding page.
