What risk do I take by giving Bavian access to my Google Ads account?
Updated 20 October 2026
When you connect Google Ads, Google asks whether Bavian may see, edit, create and delete your Google Ads accounts and data. That covers everything your Google login can do, and Google has no narrower permission for apps. So the limits on what happens come from Bavian itself.
The main risk is the one you have with anyone who manages your ads: a change can work out worse than expected. Your total daily budget caps what the budgets Bavian sets add up to, though Google can spend up to twice a campaign's daily budget on a single day.
What Bavian does and doesn't do
- Bavian changes your campaigns, such as budgets, bids, keywords and ads, and it can create new campaigns, all within your total daily budget.
- It never changes who has access to your account or your billing settings, and it's never added as a user.
- It never raises your total daily budget on its own. A higher total it suggests waits for the owner's yes.
- It only works in the Google Ads account you choose, and it only needs Standard access, so you don't have to connect with an Admin login.
How you stay in control
- Bavian's changes show in the Activity feed on Insights, on the Agent page and in Google Ads' own change history.
- In Approval mode, the changes the agent starts itself wait for your yes, and you can pause the agent on the Agent page in Bavian. Bavian's routine upkeep, such as keeping your campaign budgets within your total daily budget, goes on either way.
- There's no undo button, but you can ask Bavian in the chat to change something back, or change it yourself.
- You can remove Bavian's access at any time. See What permissions does Bavian need?
Your login and data
Bavian never sees your Google password, because you sign in in Google's own window. The access Google gives Bavian is stored encrypted. The privacy policy describes how Bavian handles your data.
