Can I start Autopilot on a few selected campaigns first?
Updated 20 October 2026
No. When you turn on Autopilot, Bavian takes over every campaign in your Google Ads account that it can manage, running or paused, and there's no way to leave one out. But you can decide how much of it runs.
Before you start
- Lower the total with adjust budget in the Start Autopilot box in Bavian. The plan then fits your campaigns into it.
- Keep campaigns off: click Adjust plan and budget and write which campaigns should stay paused, for example "Keep the Display campaigns paused". Campaigns that are paused today stay paused at the start, unless the plan marks them Switches on.
A note like that is a preference Bavian takes into account, not a lock.
After you start
- Pause a campaign on the Campaigns page, or in Google Ads. Your choice stands.
- Ask in the chat on the Agent page to keep a campaign paused. Bavian may offer to make it a standing instruction: click Answer, then Yes, keep it that way.
- Use Set this budget yourself on the Budget page to fix one campaign's budget.
- In Approval mode, every change Bavian's agent starts itself waits for your yes.
If you switch a campaign on later, your total daily budget usually goes up by its budget. See How do I start or pause a campaign in Bavian?
