Why do the analysis and the start plan show different budgets?
Updated 22 October 2026
The written analysis is a snapshot. The start plan is drawn again when you change your budget, so when the two differ, the start plan's numbers are the ones that apply when you turn on Autopilot.
Two parts of one page
The Initial analysis on the Insights page has two parts:
- The written review and What I’ll do first. They're written on the date shown at the top next to Initial analysis · read, and saving a new budget or note doesn't change them.
- The table under How your campaigns will start. It's the start plan: which campaigns run and what each gets on the first day. Bavian draws it again when you save a new total with adjust budget in the Start Autopilot box, or a new budget or note with Adjust plan and budget.
So a budget mentioned in the written review can differ from the budget the same campaign gets in the table, especially if you've changed your total daily budget since. Your total daily budget is the cap on what all your campaign budgets add up to.
Good to know
- Your account keeps changing after the analysis is written: spend, conversions, campaigns and tracking. If a lot of time has passed, or you've changed something important, such as your conversion tracking, write to support@bavian.com before you turn on Autopilot and ask us to run the analysis again.
