Can I connect Google Analytics and Tag Manager to Bavian?
Updated 31 October 2026
Yes. Google Analytics and Tag Manager are optional connections in Bavian. They let Bavian find and repair tracking problems that can't be solved from Google Ads alone. Bavian runs your ads without them.
Connect them
- In Bavian, open Connection in the menu.
- Click Connect on the Google Analytics or Tag Manager card, and sign in with a Google login that can edit it, with Publish access for Tag Manager.
- If you have more than one, choose the Google Analytics property or the Tag Manager container to use.
What Bavian does with them
- Google Analytics: Bavian reads your GA4 events and key events. It can mark a key event, create an event from another one, link the property to your Google Ads account and switch on enhanced measurement.
- Tag Manager: Bavian reads your tags and can repair the ones that track conversions. A change goes live on your website, so it always waits for your yes on the Agent page first.
Good to know
- Google asks you to allow Bavian to read and edit, and to publish in Tag Manager, because Bavian repairs what it finds.
- Bavian can't add custom code in Tag Manager, and it can't send an order value your website doesn't already have. Those stay with your developer.
