Can I set a minimum ROAS that Bavian must keep to?
Updated 22 October 2026
Partly. You can set a return on spend (ROAS) target, such as 6, for your whole account or for each Search, Shopping or Performance Max campaign, and it holds until you hand it back, unless something new comes up that costs you money or breaks a rule. But it's a target that Google's bidding aims for, not a floor. Some days and campaigns can come in below it, and neither Bavian nor Google can guarantee a minimum.
Set a return on spend target
- In Bavian, open the Bidding page.
- Choose The same goal everywhere, or Different per campaign to set a target for each campaign.
- Pick A return on spend and enter the target, for example 6.
- Click Save.
To hand a campaign back, choose Bavian decides in its row and click Save.
Good to know
- You can set it once Autopilot is on. Before the start, you can write your target in the note under Adjust plan and budget on Insights. Bavian takes it into account, but a note isn't a lock.
- A return on spend target needs conversions that carry a value. If a campaign has no conversions yet, Bavian shows that it can't hold a target, and why.
- A target well above what a campaign achieves today can make Google bid less, so the campaign may get fewer clicks and not spend its budget.
